Opal E. Payne, of Galion passed away Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Galion Community Hospital. Born August 17, 1925 in Vanceburg, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Bertha (Cook) Carpenter. She was preceded by her husband of 56 years, Leroy "Roy" Payne.
