Stella Geraldine Slane, age 83, of Marion, Ohio, passed away March 16, 2023, at Jag Healthcare.
She was born on April 10, 1939, to the late Allen Kight and Marjorie Fair. She was married to Paul William (Bill) Slane, he passed away June 3, 1993.
She retired from Marion Manor after working for over 30 years as a nurse aide.
She enjoyed puzzles, word finds, traveling, dancing, gardening, collecting roosters, and her family time. Her favorite past time was watching Chuck Norris, Walker, the Texas Ranger.
She is preceded in death by her son Dana Lee Slane, her brothers Glendon Kight and Virgil Kight, her sisters Marie Townsend and Bonnie Cramer, her granddaughter Krista Dawn Brown, and her grandson Justin Thomas Blanton.
She is survived by her children Victoria Brown, Trina Hatten, Steven (Elrien) Slane, Patrick Slane, and daughter in law Lisa Slane. Her foster children Michael Edwards, Lori Maynard, and Toni Gorenflo. She was loved by numerous nieces and nephews, 10 grandchildren and their spouses, and 10 great grandchildren.
No services will be held at this time. At a later date the family will have a Celebration of Life.
