Sherry Marina Thomas

Sherry Thomas, born on November 25, 1971 in Toledo, Ohio. Sherry passed away on Wednesday February 22, 2023 at Marion General Hospital, after a very, very short battle with cancer at age 51.
She graduated from Elgin High School in 1990 and worked at Kable Fulfillment where she met her husband, Jon Thomas. They were married April 25th 1992
She worked for UNUM for over 20 years where she was an important employee and loved by her co-workers.
Sherry was an expert at Pool, Cornhole and steel tip darts. She loved concerts and live music. Her favorite band was "Kings of Leon". She was a kind, loving and caring soul. She put her family first and never asked for much.
She loved animals, such as her late cat WOLLY and her current cats Bubby Kitty and Louie and her dog Reggie.
She was proceeded in death by her father, Harry "Jr." Slagle, her grandmother, Mary Martin and her aunt, Judy Winslow
She is survived by her loving husband, Jon Thomas, a daughter, Avri Thomas, son, Kaegen Thomas and Brody Thomas, her mother, Marilyn Van Scoit and her brothers, Jared Slagle, Jerimiah Slagle and Adam Slagle.
A Celebration of Life service will be scheduled at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the Humane Society or the Homeless to home animal rescue and cat sanctuary.
