Robert Lee Compston

September 12, 1963 — December 21, 2021

Marion

Robert Lee Compston, age 58, went to be with the Lord on December 21, 2021, after a short battle with Covid.

He was born September 12, 1963, to Robert Floyd Compston and Billie Lou Phillips.  He was a 1982 graduate of Marion Harding High School where he ran cross country and Tri-Rivers JVS where he was enrolled in carpentry.  He was employed by Silverline Windows at the time of his passing.

Robert was a past member of the Ohio Military Reserve where he rose to the rank of Sargent. He loved being outdoors; hunting, fishing, playing paintball, camping, visiting Marblehead Lighthouse, and civil war reenactments where he was a Confederate soldier in the infantry and artillery with Fifth Texas Company A and Reily's Battery respectively.

His biggest joy was the love he had for his family. On June 25, 2005, he married his beloved wife Elizabeth Crowe and she survived. He is also survived by his mother, brother Kenny (Jama) Compston, daughter Pam Price, sons Billy Compston, Coltin Floyd Waller-Compston and Justin (Courtney) Ward, grandchildren William Kibler and Isabel and Hadleigh Ward, nieces Paige Kinsel, Madalynn Hoy, Jessica (Will) Hamm, Amber and Jesse Roush, and Page (Nathan) West, nephews Blake Blake Kinsel and Lane Waller, his in-laws Lawrence (Gail) Crowe, brother-in-law Brian (Jennifer) Crowe, Stevie (Trishie) Roush and BJ (April Waller) and mother-in-law Darla Hissong, and, several great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and his beloved cats Bandit and Princess.

He was preceded in death by his father, maternal and paternal grandparent, and fiance Brenda Waller.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Homeless to Home cat sanctuary or Wyandotte County, Ohio, Humaine Society.

Due to the covid outbreak there will be no showing and his cremated remains will be buried at a later date. An HONOR OF LIFE cookout will be posted at a later date
