Rex Alex Nairobi Mason

Rex “Alex” Mason, age 43, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2023, at home. He was born June 29, 1979, to James Michael and Ruby Lee Mason in Marion, Ohio.

Alex was a jokester. He loved to joke around with his family and friends. He loved to sing. He loved to go swimming with his nieces and nephews. What he loved most was hanging out with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother James Michael and Ruby Lee Mason; brother Richard Torin Craig; grandparents Sherman Eugene Jones, Sr., Mae Esther Jones, Edith Jones, Alex Upton, and Bulah Mae Fair; aunts Wilma Jones, Mary Emma McDuffie, Sharon Johnson, Shirley Blarie Baker, and Rosie Lee Jones; uncles Sherman Eugene Jones, Jr., James Showers, Ezell Showers; and a nephew Donell Marcel Boyce.

He is survived by three sisters and three brothers; Michelle Robin (Victor) Floyd, James Michael Mason, Jr., Maurice Allen Mason, Moishi Ruby Mason, Dimitri Martin (Stacy) Mason, and Nyota Shawni Monique Mason. He is also survived by uncles Timothy Allen (Ella) Jones and Clinton Earl Green, aunts Thelma Lee Green, Devesta Delene Jones-Petty, and Cherree Thomas, and a numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
