Penny Lynn Leighty

Penny Lynn Leighty (Tiller) born on November 16th, 1958, was born in raised in Marion, Ohio by Avenell Lake (Collins) and Marvin D. Tiller.  Penny passed away unexpectedly on March 30th, 2022,  in her home in Marion, Ohio from many health conditions she has battled with for several years.

She loved to play bingo, watch the Ohio State football games, she loved camping and the outdoors, and most of all being around her family and friends. She would help anyone in need, she would give them the shirt off her back if that's what you needed because she wore so many colorful masks to suit the situation due to the wisdom she held.  She worked up until her medical conditions wouldn't let her doing in home health care, and before that production at Honda.

Penny is preceded in death by her life partner Robert E. Leighty Jr., heart partner, Linda Leach, mother Avenell Lake (Collins), brothers Darrell Tiller, Jeffrey A. Tiller Sr., and step mother Vivian Tiller.

She is survived by, father  Marvin D. Tiller, step father James H. Lake, son James M. (Beth) Leighty,  daughters  Amanda S. (Kenneth) Helton,  Ashlee L. (Jessica) Leighty-Aldridge,  sisters  Melinda K. (Chuck) Frost, Meggan E. (Jeff) Tiller, step sister Heidi (Randy) Jones, Mary Jo Sergent, step brother Bobby Cunningham, 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild that she loved dearly and many nieces and nephews that she cherished like her own children.

She is truly going to be missed, but no longer has to endure the pain and suffering from her illnesses. She now has the most beautiful wings that will help her watch over each one of us.

Visitation will be held on Thursday April 07, 2022, at Edwards Funeral Service 318 Mt. Vernon Ave., Marion, OH 43302, from 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM, service starting at 5:00 PM.
