Pearlie Mitchell

Pearlie Mitchell, age 81, passed away on June 5, 2023, in Marion, Ohio. She was born on June 30, 1941, in Bluefield, West Virginia to the late Early Johnson and Minnie Lambert.

She loved going shopping; Walmart and the thrift store were her favorite places to go. She loved spending time with her family; especially with her grandchildren. She loved her dogs, she even slept with them. At family get-togethers, everyone requested their favorite dish of fried chicken and macaroni and cheese from Pearlie. Another favorite past time for Pearlie was playing cards and yahtzee.

Pearlie was a people person and made many friends. Over the years, she accumulated many “Kids” and “Grandkids”, they may have not been by blood but by love. She was the kindest person anyone could meet, as we would say “Yep! That’s our Pearl, who will always be loved and missed dearly by all.”

She is preceded in death by her mother, father, and many brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her sons Martin (Mikki) Britton of Marion, Ohio and David Britton of Louisiana, daughters Donna Hinkle of West Virginia, and Dimita Britton of Marion, Ohio. Her brother Curtis Johnson, and sister Patricia Combs. Her grandchildren: Danille Burst, Dustin Britton, Martin Britton, Josh Britton, Stacey Correa, Dyllan Fife, Tyler Hinkle, Tad Hinkle, Tanner Hinkle, Tia Hinkle, Whitney Cornell, Kim Flater, Dougie Tillman, and several great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
