Michael Allen Wakely

Michael Allen Wakely, 70, of Marion, OH, passed away on March, 10, 2023 from natural causes.

He was born on October 25, 1952 to Kenneth and Emma Wakely in Marion, OH. He graduated from Marion Harding High School in 1972. He married Susan Ellen (Stineman) Wakely on May 24, 1975.

Michael worked for Pillsbury (General Mills) for 32 years. He was a long-time member of the Kirkpatrick Church of Christ. He loved Legos, puzzles, junking and motorcycles.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Emma Wakely; Mother-in-Law Oletha Stineman; and brother Kevin Wakely.

He is survived by his wife Susan Wakely; Children Matthew and Tasha Wakely, Scott and Amanda Wakely, and Jennifer and Thomas Matteson; and Grandchildren Brock Wakely, Jackson Wakely, Jordyn Matteson, and Ethan and Rebekah Matteson. He is also survived by four sisters Patricia (Ronald) Richie, Sharon Schuster, Sandra Coy, Penny (Duran) Ball, and three brothers Kenneth (Barbara) Wakely Jr, Rick (Vickie) Wakely, Robert (Sherry) Wakely; a Father-in-Law Richard Stineman; a sister-in-law Lori Stineman; a brother-in-law Michael Stineman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements are provided by Edwards Funeral Services. Visitation will begin at 10:00am on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 with service led by Reverend Don Kelley to follow at 11:00am.
