Matthew David Price

Matthew David Price, 47, passed away Sunday, January 2 at Marion General Hospital. Born on December 23, 1974, he was the son of the late Roy Lewis and the late Karen (Gerald) Thompson.

Matt has worked at local Pizzeria’s most of his life, and currently was employed at Pizza Brothers. He was married on September 14, 1996, to Beverly Layton Price, who survives in Marion. Matt loved his family unconditionally. Also surviving are their sons Logan, Nicholas, and Riley who live at home, siblings David (Emily) Thompson, Chris (Stacie) Thompson, Melissa Tussey, and Kelly Thompson, aunts and uncle Tina Griffith and Brett Price.

Along with his parents, Matt was preceded in death by aunts Edith Lewis and Linda Layton, and uncles Danny Grimes, Bobby Joe Grimes, William Price, and Charles Price.

Matt has several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were very special to him.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 12, 2022,from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Service 318 Mt. Vernon Ave., Marion, OH 43302, with a service to start at 7:00 PM.

Memorial contributions can be made directly to the funeral home to help with funeral cost, as he did not have any insurance.
