Mary E. Sherman

Mary Sherman, age 86, passed away February 15, 2023, at home. She was born April 12, 1936, to the late Ralph and Dorothy Foust in Marion, Ohio.

Mary was married to Herb Hunt, Sr until he passed away. She got a second chance at love when she met and married Larry Sherman, Sr.

One thing her family said is Mary was a hard worker. She worked at Abbott Company for 15 years before retiring. After retirement, she took care of the grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She loved her family. She was a very selfless woman, always putting others before herself. She raised her children by herself. She was always traveling for her grandchildren’s sports or to her favorite vacation spot of Roxboro, North Carolina. She was never one to miss a good western with John Wayne or miss her other favorite movie John Wick. Not only was she the best mom to her children but to all of her children’s friends as well.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Dorothy, her husband’s Herb Hunt, Sr. and Larry Sherman, Sr., two sons Jim Sherman and Herb Hunt, Jr., daughter Sherry Lynn Sherman, and three brothers, and seven sisters.

She is survived by sons Matthew, Larry, Jr., and David (Patti) of Roxboro, NC, daughter Sandy. Her brother Charles (Lynn) Foust. Her grandchildren Thomas (Amanda) Sherman, Jessica (Frankie) Parker of Roxboro, NC, David Sherman, and Charley Climer. She had numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was loved by many and all.
