Kristina Lynne Simonis

December 4, 1965 — April 12, 2021

Upper Sandusky

Kristina Lynne (Ochier) Simonis of Upper Sandusky passed away Monday April 12, 2021 at the age of 55 surrounded by her family.  Kris was born on December 4, 1965 to Nellie (Morris) and Billy Jean Ochier of Kenton, Ohio.  Her mother preceded her in death. She is survived by her father, Billy Jean Ochier of Upper Sandusky, her husband, Terry Simonis of Upper Sandusky, her siblings, Terri (Robert) Grubbs of Kenton, Darrell (Wendy) Ochier of Sycamore, and Darrin (Lena) Ochier of Sycamore.

In their life together Kris and Terry had an army of children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her children, Kevin Simonis, Danica (Ed) Dodson, Nichole (Larry) Simonis, Coddy (Brandi) Simonis, Travis Frisch, and Aaron Rigsby were her first loves. Then, came her beautiful grandchildren: Malachi Simonis, Victoria (Drew) Dodson-Gannon, Paul (Jessica) Dunn Taylor Dodson, Tyler Dodson, Nellie Dodson, Payton Dodson, Seth Hanjora, Cain Hanjora, Sage Hanjora, Alexander Hanjora, and Mercedes Simonis. She was also blessed with great grandchildren, Lexi, Kaelyn, Sam, Drake, Kaleb, Nikka, and Jenny.  She also leaves behind many nephews and nieces.

She was a graduate of Upper Sandusky High School and had many different college degrees. Kris was always a hard-working employee and knew how to make everyone laugh. Most recently, she worked for Farmers Insurance.  Kris was also a vital member of the Savage Anarchy Wrestling, never missing a show.

In her younger days, her life was spent at a softball field. One of the last things she was able to enjoy was being at the ball field with her granddaughters.  She had many loves in her life other than her family. Her favorite color was purple, she had thousands upon thousands of pens and notebooks in which she wrote beautiful lines of poetry. Kris enjoyed doing her nails and changing her hair color often.  Her walls were plastered with artwork from her children and grandchildren.

Kris’ friends will tell you she was amazing; she was always there for anyone and everyone. She had many “bonus” children because she never turned anyone away. This world is a little less cheerful and a little less bright without her with us.

Visiation will be at Edwards Funeral Service 318 Mt. Vernon Ave., Marion, OH 43302 on Saturday April 17, 2021 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, with a service to follow at 1:00 PM.
