John Guy Morgan

John Guy Morgan, age 61, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. As his children told it “He fought like hell to beat cancer!” He was born April 11, 1961, in Marion, OH to the late Richard and Martha Morgan.

On October 6, 1979, John married the love his life Sherry. Him and Sherry were married for 26 wonderful years before Sherry’s passing on May 17, 2005. Him and Sherry had two children: Bridgette (Patrick) Corcoran and John (Rebecca) Morgan.

John was an outdoorsman. He loved to hunt, fish, an avid ATV and tractor rider. He loved going to the derby’s and loved old trucks. His favorite thing to do was sit on the front porch and drink his Busch beer. As his children said he was hardheaded and stubborn, but he had the best heart. Loved to lend a helping hand whenever he could. He loved to hang out with his best friends Bill Somerlot and Kevin Plotner.

John is survived by three brothers Richard (Karen) Morgan, Terry Morgan, Dean (Mercie) Morgan, and sister Pam (Jim) Wilson. His grandchildren Amaya Malloy, Kaleb Rice, Matthew Morgan, Kayleigh Morgan, Kayanna Holding, Kya Corcoran, Jensen Corcoran. He is, also, survived by his best friend, his Bull Terrier Bella.

John is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sherry, and his best friend Larry (Smokey) Crum.
