Evan Logan Reid Williams

September 16, 1994 ~ March 5, 2022 (age 27)

Obituary

Evan Logan Reid Williams passed away unexpectedly and entered fully into the presence of the LORD on Saturday March 5th, 2022, in Marion Ohio, he was 27 years old. While he will be grieved by many, we are thankful he will be united in the LORD with his unborn child who passed away December 2, 2021.

Evan was born September 16th, 1994, in Marion Ohio to Wendy Lippert mother, who later married Lorin Williams, adoptive father who later married Mary whom Evan also loved as a second mom, he grew up in Green Camp, Prospect, LaRue, Hocking Hills and Marion. The family attended Emanuel Reformed Church in Green Camp, where his grandfather, Rev. David Lippert preached and Wendy would tote Evan along to the ladies guild meetings and help with the reconstruction of the old German log church and playing in grandma and grandpa’s backyard and swimming pool with Nate, Donovan, Kiersten, Bailey, Drake and Mikey. Those years were Evan’s favorite and he often lamented the inability to roll back time. Evan joined T-ball, soccer, swimming classes with his brother Nate at the YMCA, gaming with his siblings, boy scouts where their dad was the leader, modern wooden with grandma and grandpa, and found peace in the wild of Hocking Hills where his fast paced mind could breathe and he felt closer to God. He loved joining his family, brothers, sisters, Donovan and friends to the mall, magic mountain, Dave and busters or going to a buffet. He was gifted in music, tattoo artistry, singing and guitar, writing songs and playing on stage were his true passion in life, second only to being a Dad, brother, son, grandson, cousin and friend. Family was everything to Evan and he always wished he could do more for those he loved.

Evan chose to stay in Marion to finish school when his family moved to the country and he went on to work as a security guard, a clerk at speedway, Honda, tattoo artist, video game aficionado, and many other gigs, but music was his passion and he taught himself guitar after a few lessons as a child, rapping with Donovan, going on to playing concerts and playing guitar for “As the City Sleeps” and other bands.

Evan fought with addiction, Jan 2017 was a date he held dear as his “clean date” as he continued in recovery, where he met Bre and discovered he could continue education to become a recovery coach and successfully achieved the certification. Evan hated addiction, while understanding the struggle and still loving the addict. He wept often for his peers who succumb to the grips, wondering if God could forgive them, and longing to solve a puzzle, far beyond his reach, wishing addiction and shame away, and holding a prayer in his heart all would ultimately come to Christ.

Evan received many accolades during his recovery journey, his keyrings commemorate milestones of his fight, but his music, bold jokes, bear hugs, and infectious laughter are the light we all remember. Evan was loyal and compassionate. As a youth he was always watching out for the elderly people in the church and worried about them so much, he often carried the weight of the world on his heart.

Evan was a true believer in Jesus Christ, was baptized and confessed his faith recently to Rev David Rush, though our works can’t save us, it does give witness to our faith. Jesus as our shepherd is the only one who saves us, but Evan loved to watch Pastor Charles Lawson on YouTube and have long discussions on the word of God and spirituality with his mom at all hours of the night. He loved a good campfire and sound of the rain which our family held as a comfort sent from God.

He leaves behind to join him in the sky ~ his daughter Faith Adriel, her brother Layton Tyler Cole, and their mom Bre Stanley, Mom Wendy Lippert, Dad Lorin Williams, siblings and cousins Nathaniel, Drake, Bailey, Kiersten, Alisha, Ashley, Alex, Roger, Jaycilyn and Junior and his special cousin more like a brother, Donovan

Aunt Jill, Uncle Mike (Caitlyn) Lippert
