Ernest Keith Lyons

Ernest Keith Lyons, 80, of Marion, Ohio went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday September 11, 2021.
Ernie was devoted to first and foremost, GOD, his family, and his career. He proudly served 4 years in the United States Air Force in top security. He was in the Air Force Reserve from May 1963 - Jan 1966. He retired from Conrail as a Conductor after 37 years.

Ernie was a chaplain of the American Legion Post 21 in Umatilla, Florida and both a Chaplain and Newsletter editor of the American Legion Post 605 in Waldo, Ohio. He volunteered at many Churches and served in the Gideon's International. Ernie would give you the shirt off his back and he was an incredible giving man. He would cut his neighbors grass, build and stain decks, run their errands and do anything for anyone. Ernie loved to be outdoors, loved his flowers and bountiful with vegetables. His daughters never remember a summer when he wasn't tan from the sun. He had a great love for dogs. He was a proud and devout TRUMP Supporter and his love for GOD and his country kept him going.

He is predeceased by his parents, Rev James & Helen Lyons. He leaves behind a loving family, his wife Bonnie of 38 years. He is survived  by his children, Angelina (Craig) Marietta of Blissfield, Michigan, Tricia Lyons of Toledo, Ohio, a son; Bradley (Marielena) Lyons of Columbus, Georgia, Sisters; Carolyn Lyons Daniel of Tutor Key, KY, Connie Lyons Knight (John) of Marion, Ohio, brothers; Gary (Brenda) Lyons of Marion and Greg (Lisa) Lyons of Marion, Ohio.
He was adored by his grandchildren; Austin Leite, and Autumn Marietta, Great Grandchildren; Mason Leite, Derek & Merissa Johnston.

Visitation will be held Thursday September 16th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Service, Hughes-Allen Marion Chapel, 318 Mt. Vernon Ave, Marion. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, 135 Fairview St, Marion with Pastor Matt Lain officiating. Internment Marion Cemetery with Full Military honors.
