Daniel Patrick Needham

Daniel Patrick Needham, 59, of Marion, Ohio, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his loving family on March 14, 2024.

He was born on July 19, 1964 to Thomas and Shelby Needham in Marion, Ohio. He graduated from Harding High School in 1982.

Daniel married the love of his life, Rebecca, on April 8, 1988.

He rode motorcycles and raced dirt bikes, and he loved to travel. Daniel enjoyed spending time at the family’s Lake Erie Cottage and going to Cedar Point. He was an avid fan of the Browns, Indians, and all forms of racing.

Daniel is preceded in death by his father Thomas Needham; fathers-in-law Frank Hall and Bill Brenner; grandparents Thomas and Mary Needham; grandparents Anna and Oscar Clarkston; uncle Connie Allen Clarkston; and several first cousins.

He is survived by his mother Shelby Needham; wife Rebecca Needham; sisters-in-law Christel and Michelle; adopted sister Carol Beth Hennes; mother-in-law Elsie Hall; beloved, like a son, nephew Derik (Tiffany) Patton; aunts and uncles Trina and Ivan Johnson, Carol and Tom Bigler, Jean and Oscar Clarkston, aunt Bonnie Bucy, Jan and Jerry Dunn; and many family members, travel buddies Melanie and Scott Nowak, and many other friends. He loved his constant companions Graham and Dolly.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Edwards Funeral Service Hughes Allen Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Marion Area Humane Society and the American Motorcyclist Association. Private memorial to follow at a later date.
