Christopher Bernard Cochran

Christopher Bernard Cochran, 59, went home to be with the Lord on February 21, 2024. Chris passed away unexpectedly at home. Chris was born to Shirley Simpson Kline on April 9, 1965, in Marion, Ohio.

Chris is survived by his kids, daughters, Christina, Heather, Angel Cochran, and Jocy Coleman and son, Donny Middleton. He is survived by his siblings, brother Alvin (Herby) Simpson, and sister Maya Simpson. Chris was blessed to be a grandfather to many who survive him. Heavynilee, La’ Tayvia, Leeairah, Kavon, L.J., R’aveon, Ella, Myleana, Amelia, Cameron, Caesaun, and Robert. Chris is survived by his aunt Gail Douglas-Blanton, uncles Raymond Scott and Anthony Cochran. Chris leaves behind his nieces Toshi and Tiera Simpson, and nephew David King.

Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Simpson Kline, maternal grandparents Lamar and Ethel Cochran, Aunt Janice Bovian, and uncles LaVaugh, Grady, Lloyd, and Clifford Cochran. Chris was also preceded in death by the mother of his children Wendy Brutchey.

Chris loved his family and friends he would give you the shirt off his back. He had a protective nature and was fiercely loyal to the people he cared about. He would always do everything under his control to make sure his loved ones were good. Chris loved his music, family gatherings, his blue Levi’s jeans, and his white Nike shoes. He was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him.
