Marion

Barbara L. Davis, 78, formerly of Lubbock, Texas recently passed away in Marion with her daughter by her side. She was born to Earl G. Hall, Sr. and Geraldine (Lewis) in Decatur, Texas. Barbara graduated in from Edison High School in San Antonio, Tx and attended San Antonio College.

She married Charles T. Davis, II, in June 1962 in Norfolk, VA. They later divorced. Together they shared three children Charles (Charlie) T. III, Melissa and Matthew. Barbara is survived by her daughter Melissa, son Matthew and grandsons Michael (Emily), Justin (Kait), Luke, Joseph and great-grandchildren Caydence, Norrin, Gracelynn and brother Earl (Budgy) Hall, Jr. of Lubbock and half-brother Edwin Sherman of San Diego.

Barbara was a homemaker for many years and volunteered as a den leader for cub scouts and brownie leader, as well as being very active in PTA. She was an accomplished seamstress and sewed many outfits, stuffed animals, and school play costumes for her children and grandsons, Mikey and Justy. Barbara enjoyed crafting, painting, quilting, reading and playing computer games. She was also a very talented artist and had the ability to draw and see beauty in anything or anyone.

Barbara, never at a loss for words, was known for her teasing eccentric nature. Her quick wit was topped with a twisted sense of humor and consistent misbehavior. She lived and loved life her way.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Charlie, and brother Lawrence.

Honoring Barbara's wishes, services will be observed privately by her family.
