January 10, 1955 – March 12, 2026

Yvonne Kye was born on January 10, 1955, to Geneva Jenkins and Solomon Green in Detroit, Michigan. During her life, Yvonne attended several schools, obtaining certificates of completion. She worked in both healthcare and hospitality. A devoted woman of God, Yvonne had a passion for preaching and continuing God’s work. She entered the School of Theology, where she furthered her education and was ordained.

Yvonne married Ben W. Kye Sr. and was later blessed with two children, Ben W. Kye Jr. and Zenas I. Kye. She was preceded in death by her children, her parents, and her sister, June Huggins. Yvonne later moved to Marion, Ohio, and then to Pickerington, Ohio, where she resided until her passing on March 12, 2026.

She will be remembered as a woman who faced life’s challenges with quiet strength and left an indelible mark of grace and fortitude on everyone she encountered. Yvonne leaves to cherish her memory her grandchildren, Braeden and Bianca Kye, along with a host of other loving family members and dear friends.

There will be a public visitation held on Friday, March 27, 2026 at 9am with a chapel service to begin at 11am.  Services will be held at Edwards Hughes Allen Funeral Chapel.

O God, whose mercies cannot be numbered,

accept our prayer on behalf of Yvonne

and grant her an entrance into the land of light and joy,

through Jesus Christ thy Son our Lord,

who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit,

one God, now and forever.
