William Randall Harris, born on July 22, 1961, in Beckly, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2026, in Marion, Ohio. Throughout his life, William was a man of great dedication, strength, and kindness, embodying the virtues of devotion to family and community.
William faithfully served his country for four years in the Army, exemplifying commitment and honor in his military service. Following his time in service, he devoted himself to the care of his mother, Christine Harris, serving as her caretaker with unwavering love and patience during her final five years.
An individual who found joy in the simplicity and challenge of hands-on work, William had a true passion for working on cars and various mechanical projects. His fondness for the outdoors was evident in his love of camping, where he could embrace nature and find peace. Among his most cherished companions was his loyal dog, Rawhide, who brought comfort and company in many moments of William’s life.
William is survived by several beloved family members who carry on his memory with respect and love. He is remembered fondly by his mother, Christine Harris; his brother John Harris and wife Peggie; and his sisters Chris Raber and husband Leroy, and Oreda Wright and husband Charles. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who were fortunate to know him.
William was preceded in death by his father, Jack Harris, and brothers Jack Harris and Carl Harris. Their memories remain ingrained in the family’s hearts alongside William’s own legacy.
William Randall Harris’s life was marked by service, kindness, and an enduring love for those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His dedicated spirit and gentle nature leave an indelible imprint on the lives he touched. May he rest in peace.
