Timothy Mahley

Timothy (Tim) Mahley, 65, of rural Bucyrus, Ohio passed away unexpectedly June 17, 2025.

He was born in Bucyrus, Ohio to Gene and Mary (Stacklin) Mahley on May 18, 1960.

He attended Colonel Crawford Schools.

In March of 1981, Tim asked his sweetheart Laurie Harris to marry him, and they were married on March 31, 1984.

Tim and Laurie were teenage sweethearts. They met when he was 15 and she was 13. Tim was uptown taking laps with his brother when they decided to stop and sit at the Great Scot parking lot. Laurie was walking home and stopped to talk to his brother, who she knew and saw Tim for the first time. His beautiful blue eyes and dark hair caught her attention. They both liked each other instantly and they started dating on that day. Then on his 18th birthday they stopped dating and started going steady. They never parted again. They were the love of each other’s lives. Not one day went by that they didn’t say to each other “I love you”. He told her she was his sweetheart until the day he died.

Tim was a hardworking man all of his life who loved his family and was a lover of animals. He had a huge heart and would do anything for anyone.

He was a welder and painter by trade. He repaired and painted water towers. He last worked at S&R Refuse until he retired.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents; Mother and Father-in-law Beverly and Lindy Harris, his brother Doug Mahley; his nephews Shaun Haffa and Dan McClintock.

He is survived by his loving wife Laurie; sons Adam Mahley and Nick Mahley; Who he loved very much. His grandchildren Camden and Oaklie Mahley; Who he absolutely adored. Brother Chuck (Rose) Mahley; Sister Karen Weiler. Brother-in-law- Rick Harris; Sister and Brother-in-law Cheryl and Danny Haffa; Sister and Brother-in-law- Cathy and Tom Shuster, Many Aunts, Uncles, Nephews and Nieces; His right-hand man Adam (aka Sherly) and his beloved animals; his dog Dexter and cats Josie and George

Tim never wanted a funeral, he just wanted old and new friends to gather, share some stories and have a few laughs.

There will be a Celebration of Life for him on July 19, 2025, from 2-5 pm at 3601 Locust-Grove Rd., Bucyrus, Ohio 44820.
