Ruth Agnes (Heigle) Hedges

Ruth Agnes Hedges, age 91, passed away early Wednesday morning at Whetstone Care Center in Columbus, Ohio. Born in Hocking County on April 19, 1925 to Fred and Esta (Baker) Heigle, she married Ralph H. Hedges who preceded her in death in 2011. She was also preceded in death by her brother; Ernest Heigle and two sisters; Ruby Heigle and Janith Heigle. Ruth had been a secretary during her working life and was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Pleasant Senior Citizens and Garden Gate Garden Club. Surviving are her daughter; Rita Ferguson of Gahana, her sister; Shirley Braddock of Florida, 2 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A celebration of Ruth’s life will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 beginning at 2:00 PM at the Hughes-Allen Funeral Home with Pastors Mike and Collette Smith officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Stoutsville, Ohio. Friends may call Saturday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at the Hughes-Allen Funeral Home.
