Polly Fischer (Akers), age 86, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 30, 2026, in Marion, Ohio .Polly was born on September 17, 1939, in Greenup, Kentucky, to Charles and Nannie Akers. She married the love of her life, Richard (dick)Fischer, on January 5, 1957. Together, they built a loving family and shared many years of memories.

Polly was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard (dick)Fischer; her son, David Fischer; her daughter, Rhonda Williams; her grandson, Eric Black; her great-granddaughter, Katelynn Fischer; and her daughter-in-law, Margaret Fischer.

She Is survived by her sons, Larry Fischer; Daniel (Maureen) Fischer; James (Cindy) Fischer; Richard (Josette)Fischer; and Roger Fischer. Polly leaves behind 12 grandchildren, including Julie Fischer, Jamie (Kris) Swanstrom, Roger Jr(Jena) Fischer, James (Brittany) Fischer, Ryan (Lane) Fischer, David (Abby) Fischer, Timothy (Colleen) Williams, Jennifer (Daniel) Davis, and Joseph (Melissa) Williams, Kasey Fischer Cody Fischer She was blessed with 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, who brought her much joy and happiness. Polly loved her family dearly and cherished the time she spent with them. She also enjoyed traveling and shopping and making memories with the people she loved.

Polly will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. Her love, memories, and legacy will live on through the many generations of her family.

There will be a public visitation held on Friday, September 4, 2026 at 11am with a chapel service to begin at 12pm.  Burial to follow at Caldonia Cemetery.  Services will be held at Edwards Funeral Services located at 318 Mount Vernon Ave, Marion, Ohio 43302
