Pierre LaVette

Pierre LaVette Sr., age 68, passed away early Saturday morning, February 18, 2017 at Marion General Hospital after a long illness. Pierre was born March 16, 1948 in Marion Ohio to Ollis and the late Ruby Irene LaVette. Pierre graduated from Marion Harding High School in 1967 and married Carolyn (Jackson) LaVette in 1968 and served in the U.S. Navy. Survived by his wife; Carolyn, their children; Pierre Jr. (Natalie) and Charles Vincent and his grandchildren; Tatiana, Pierre III and Andrew LaVette, his siblings; Mike (Barbra) Lavette and Debbie (Lewis) Bently and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Pierre worked at Quaker Oats until their closing, Worthington Foods until their closing and as a guard at NuCor Steel until retirement.
