Philip Leroy Crabtree

Philip Leroy Crabtree was born on November 6, 1960 to William S. Crabtree and Shirley L. Crabtree.   He passed away peacefully on January 18, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.

He married his wife Yolanda (Quaintance) on June 12, 1981.  They had two children, William P. Crabtree (Emily) and Amy L. Crabtree (Jon Merz).  He had three grandchildren, Charlotte, Olivia, and Charlie who he dearly loved.

Philip worked in the maintenance trade as a machinist.  He enjoyed woodworking and tinkering in his garage building and restoring vintage cars and furniture.  His most recent projects included making canes and walking sticks.  He was also an avid crappie fisherman and loved walking in the woods.

He is survived by four brothers, Gary (Donna), Terry (Sharon), Jeff (Tammy), David (Deb) and one very special sister and brother-in-law, Emily and Preston Thacker.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his loving parents.

Visitation hours will be held at Marion First Church of the Nazarene, 233 West Church Street, Wednesday, January 24, 2018, from 1­ pm to 3 pm.  A memorial service will start promptly following the visitation hours.
