Patrick J. Mannion, born on October 26, 1952, in Illinois, passed away on April 28, 2026, in Marion, Ohio, after a courageous battle with illness. His departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him, yet his memory shines brightly as a beacon of love, dedication, and resilience.

Patrick was a man whose spirit was deeply rooted in devotion—to his friends, his country, and the many simple joys that painted his life with warmth and laughter. Patrick enjoyed watching baseball, football, and basketball. He was a huge Buckeyes fan. Patrick also enjoyed helping others and took pride in that. He will be remembered for his many jokes and nicknames he created for his friends.

Patrick served in the United States Army. His time in the military was marked by honor and commitment, qualities that shaped his character throughout his life.

He is survived by special friends Cindy and Mary. Patrick also had a special advocate, Sabina. She has looked out for his well-being for the past nine years.

Patrick’s life was a tapestry of love, service, and humor. He faced his final days with the same strength and grace that defined him throughout life. As we remember Patrick, we find comfort in the stories he leaves behind. He will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.

A Celebration of Life will be held with those that were near and dear to him at a later date.
