Patricia "Pat" Anne Smith
Marion, OH: Patricia Anne Smith, 76, gained her Heavenly wings on Wednesday, November 3, 2021.
Born May 10th, 1945, to Fannie Mae and Willard Garrett. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother James "Betty" Garrett, sister Minnie Lanier, great grandson Owen Bailey, brother in law Jimmy Lewis, and sister in law Juanita Garrett. She is survived by her Husband Gerald L. Smith, and her 4 children Julie "Ed" Mustard, Travis "Dolly" Thompson, Jenny Roark (Steve), and Bradley "Farrah" Thompson. Grandchildren Jennifer Thompson (Josh), Ariel "Brandon" Bailey, Keith "Kandace" Mustard, Megan "Gage" Warwick, Clayton "Lora" Thompson, Madissen "Josue" Escobar, Morgan "Chaz" Miller, Makenna Roark (Joseph), Logan Thompson, Branson Roark, and 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Also survived by brothers and sisters, Richard Garrett, Mary "Larry" James, brother-in-law Kenny Lanier, Marty "Linda" Garrett, Carol "Dwight" Skeans, Jackie Lewis, and stepson Matthew Smith.
She loved spending time with her family, sewing quilts for her kids and her new grandkids, crocheting blankets, and cooking. She was known for her famous fudge, hillbilly mashed potatoes (Fannie Garrett recipe), creamed eggs over toast, and chocolate gravy. She loved making trips to Tennessee to see her kids and grandkids. She really enjoyed playing scrabble and bingo type games.
Calling hours will be held from 12-2 p.m., Service at 2pm on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Edwards Funeral Service in Marion, OH. Burial will follow at the Waldo Cemetery.
