Melinda Vazquez

Melinda Vazquez, 67, of Galion, Ohio passed away on May 19, 2025.

She was born on January 11, 1958 to Wilbur and Zelda Risner in Willard, Ohio.

Melinda married Don Gassner, and together they had two children.

Melinda was always very giving to others, and is remembered fondly for her selfless ways. She had a great sense of humor and was very witty. Melinda’s kindness will live on in the hearts of her loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her parents Wilbur and Zelda Risner; daughter Patty Gassner; and siblings Gloria Jean Brown Harley Risner, and Mitchell (Pat) Risner.

She is survived by her children Brad (Stephanie) Jones and Joe (Amy) Gassner; grandchildren Brayden Joshua Jones, Bradley Carson Jones Jr., Maddison Gassner, and Morgan Gassner; siblings Louise Wilson, Arlie Risner, and Dennis Risner; several nieces and nephews; and several cousins.
