Mary Garrison

Mary Frances Garrison, 82, of Marion, Ohio passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025.

She was born on March 27, 1943 to Harry and Frances Waxler in Delaware, Ohio, and she spent her childhood growing up in Prospect, Ohio. She graduated from Prospect High School in 1961 before going on to take some business classes afterwards at the Columbus Business University.

Mary married Ralph Garrison on October 6, 1962, and together they shared 62 years of happy marriage. Together they would go fishing and ride motorcycles, and they loved coaching softball.

She was a member of the CCL club in Prospect for many years, and dutifully attended Radner Baptist Church. Mary spent most of her work life as a dutiful homemaker, always making sure things ran properly and everyone was well fed. She was known for her excellent Christmas cookies, which spread cheer to anyone lucky enough to receive them. Mary never missed one of her children’s sporting events, and was always there to cheer them on.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents Harry and Frances Waxler and brother Harold Waxler.

She is survived by her loving husband Ralph Garrison; children Lori (Tom) Lambers and Randy (Hope) Garrison; grandchildren Reed, Cody, Shane, and McKayla; four great-grandchildren; and many friends.
