Marguerite “Wilma” Cook, age 73, of Marion, OH, died peacefully on December 14, 2022. She was born and raised in Marion to the late Clarence and Marguerite Sipe. She married the late James Brown and raised two sons, James and Jeffery Brown. She was a homemaker, but she also worked as an aide at Maplewood Nursing Home.
She, later, married the late Tom Cook and moved to Brooklet, Georgia for over 30 years. She worked for many years as a dietary aide for the Bullitt County Schools. Wilma enjoyed vacations to Ohio to visit family each year. She enjoyed day trips to shop and eat with her sister Esther, who also lives in Georgia. She loved road trips, being outside, and cooking for her family.
She is survived by her sons, Jeffery (April) Brown of Marion, James (Cassie) Brown of Marion. Grandchildren Sage and Ashley Brown. Sister Shirley (Brad) McGinniss of Marion, and Esther (Floyd) Hulsey of Georgia. Her brother Clarence Sipe of Florida. And many lifelong friends like Judy Whitaker, Ruth Holcomb, and Cathy Messenger.
