Margarete (Kaufmann) Showers

Margarete Showers, age 87, of Marion went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 19, 2016 from Grant Medical Center in Columbus. She was born on July 4, 1928 in Wolfersheim, Germany to Gorge and Marie (Pluch) Kaufmann. Margarete met her sweetheart; Walter Showers in July of 1946 while he was serving his country with Patton’s 3rd Army in Europe. They were united in marriage in Wolfersheim, Germany on October 19, 1948. Margarete was preceded into heaven by her son; Johnny in October of 2000. Surviving are her husband; Walter Showers at home and many nieces and nephews who loved her very much.
