Larry was born August 23, 1947. He was the youngest of four children of the late Floyd and Donna (Gebby) Kelly. He is preceded in death also by his sister and brother-in-law, Donna Lou and Gene Craycraft, and his brother Lloyd (Bud) Kelly. He has a surviving sister Cheryl Lemley of Marion and sister-in-law, Linda Kelly of Marblehead, OH.

Larry graduated from Ridgedale High school in 1965. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the Army and served 4 years in the service. He was stationed in Kirchgoons, Germany.

Larry married Carol Amstutz on November 1, 1967. He has two sons, Richard (Emeline) Kelly with two grandchildren, Sara and Brandon Kelly of Marion and Douglas (Kathleen) Kelly with grandson Grayson of Woodstock, Ohio.

On September 4, 1982, Larry married Leola Barlow McCuller of Marion who preceeded him in death in 2008. He has a surviving stepson, John McCuller of Marion with three granddaughters, Kensey, Kylei, Kelby and three great granddaughters, Paisley, Liberty and Normandy.

After Larry was honorable discharged from the Army, he was an employee of Marion Power Shovel for 15 years in the Maintenance Department. He then became employed as a prison guard and retired in 2008 with 27 years at Marion Correctional Institute.

Larry was a lover of hunting and fishing. Not a horn hunter but a meat hunter who ate what was harvested. After retiring, he would spend a month in Florida every year for five years with his brother and they would deep sea fish on charter boats. They would also visit flea markets and yard sales together almost every day.

Larry loved dirt bike riding for about 30 years. He would travel to Southern Ohio every year with his buddies and ride for days. The love of riding transferred to his grandson, Brandon, who has multiple trophies over several years of competitions and Larry was so proud of Brandon's success.

Larry chose to be cremated and his ashes to be buried. Edwards Funeral home handled the cremation. A small graveside service with family will be at Chapel Heights Cemetery in the near future.
