It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Larry Lee Crowe, on April 10, 2026, at 83 years of age. Larry lived in Marion, Ohio and was born on October 10, 1942, to the late Charles F. Crowe and Edna P. Lane. He was a 1960 graduate of Harding High School.
Larry served in the United States Air Force from July 29, 1960, to his honorable discharge on April 28, 1965, and was stationed stateside at Clinton-Sherman Air Force Base in Oklahoma. Upon returning home, he obtained employment at Erie Lackawanna/Conrail where he worked until his retirement.
Larry was a member of the VFW, Moose, American Legion, and a lifetime member of the AM Vets. Larry loved his country and spending time with family and friends. You could find him three days each week eating breakfast with “the guys” at the local Perkins or Bob Evans Restaurant in which he looked forward to good breakfast and good conversation. Fall was his favorite time of year as he would spend Saturdays cheering on the Buckeyes and Sunday afternoons at his daughter and son-in-law’s house cheering on the Minnesota Vikings and enjoying an ice-cold beer.
Larry is survived by his sister, Diane Hopkins and brother, David Crowe. In addition, he is survived by his two children, Derrick (Debbie) Crowe, Dee (Ron) Minturn; six grandchildren, Melena (David) Brady, Mechelle (Brandon) Dodrill, Jordan (Heather) Crowe, Hayley (Zach) Gilkerson, Brennan (Lynsey) Minturn, Ashley (Cameron) Smith; Fifteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Larry is also survived by his Chihuahua “Baby” who accompanied him on all adventures including trips to Rural King and the Dollar General Store.
Larry loved and was loved by many. His friends and family will miss him greatly and will cherish the memories made with him. Rest in peace dad/grandpa/great grandpa/brother/uncle and friend, we miss you already.
Cherished father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
