Larry Dean Conklin

Larry Dean Conklin, age 65, of Marion, Ohio, passed away peacefully June 29, 2023, at Presidential Nursing Home, after a brief illness. He was born November 14, 1957, in Marion, Ohio, to the late Ralph O. and Doris F. (Southward) Conklin.

Larry was a graduate of Marion Harding High School, Class of 1976 and formerly worked at Whirlpool Corporation. He was a sport enthusiast. Larry spent many summers at Lincoln Park on the baseball diamonds during Little League season when he was younger. Later in life, bowling and shooting pool were just a few sports he perfected. Larry had a talent when it came to sports that he shared an interest in. He was not one to root for the home team either; Larry was an avid Michigan Wolverines fan. He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

Larry is survived by his daughters, Tahra Conklin, Trisha Conklin and LaTisha (David) Langlois; all of Bucyrus, Ohio; his sisters, Kim Hawthorne of Marion, Stacy (Eric) Handler of Pennsylvania and twin sister, Donna Hughes of Plain City; his brother, Steve (Caryll) Conklin of Marion; seven grandchildren; as well as nieces and nephews.

At Larry's request, there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marion Area Humane Society, 2264 Richland Rd., Marion, OH 43302, in his memory.
