Joseph E Clayton

Joseph E. Clayton, 81, of Marion, Ohio passed away on October 2, 2024.

He was born on April 23, 1943 to Don and Ruthella Clayton in Kenton, Ohio. He graduated from Elgin High School in 1963.

Joe married Linda Chard on March 29, 1969. Together, they took care of their home. Sometimes they would take little trips, but mostly they stayed home taking care of the trees and flowers in the yard. Any time you would see one of them, the other would be close behind. Linda made him very happy.

He worked at Whirlpool for thirty-three years and made many friends there. When he was younger, Joe was part of the FFA. He also used to enjoy a bit of rabbit hunting.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Don and Ruthella Clayton; and his sister, Donna Fern Shamblin.

He is survived by his loving wife Linda; siblings Tom, Darlene (affectionately known as ‘Sis’), and Sarah Elizabeth; nieces and nephews; and many friends.
