Jeremiah Lee Thrush

March 2, 1984 — October 24, 2018

It is with hearts full of sadness yet assurance in God's goodness, that Garry and Mary (Purcell) Thrush of Marion, Ohio announce the death of their beloved son, Jeremiah Lee Thrush, aged 34, on Wednesday, October 24th, 2018.

Jeremiah is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frank and Bernadine (Strebar) Garrison, paternal grandparents Norman and Alice (Layne) Thrush, and childhood best friend James 'Troy' Cooke.

He is survived by his children Troy (Heather Demorest) and Maci (Ellen Miller) Thrush whom he loved and cherished with all of his heart. He is also survived by his parents and his brother Jonathan (Amanda) Thrush and their children Leyton, Lyla, and Asher.

Jeremiah loved his children, his family, fishing, and watching his favorite sports teams (Indians, Browns, and Buckeyes). Jeremiah just loved being around people in general. Never a loner, he always had to have someone nearby to talk to, whether on the phone or in person. One of the most special things about Jeremiah, though, was his heart. Above all things, Jeremiah loved to love others and be loved in return; he wore his heart on his sleeve and was a faithful friend to many. While Jeremiah struggled with shedding all things to pursue Christ, he loved Jesus and he knew that he was fully loved by God just as he was.

Jeremiah is forever remembered by his vast family. Of note, maternal grandparents William & Jan Purcell; aunts and uncles Keith (Nancy) Thrush, Kevin & Debra (Thrush) Pritchett, David & Catherine (Purcell) Brown, Joseph Purcell (Kathy Postlewait), Donald (Michelle) Markley, Richard (Tina) Markley, Michael 'Buck' (Vonnie) Markley  , Donna (Michael) Mclain; Thrush and Blue family cousins. Jeremiah was especially close to his cousins Joseph Purcell (Genevieve Acosta) , Alissa Brown, Jake & Jenni (Brown) Kovatch, and Tiffany Purcell (James Cooper). We are going to miss Jeremiah greatly. We are going to miss his smile and his chuckle laugh, but we will always hold him close in our hearts. We praise God for Jeremiah's life and for all that He has done. Romans 5: 1-5.

A private memorial will be held by his family.
