Iola "Sid" Watson

Iola Ruth “Sid” Watson, age 90, of Marion passed away Saturday evening at Presidential Care Center. Born October 8, 1926 in Delaware, Ohio to Harry and Ida (Layman) Freese, she married Homer Watson on June 30, 1951 and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a brother; Don Freese and 3 sisters; June Freese, Jean Obenour and Sally DeGood. Sid had worked as a sales clerk at Uhler’s Department Store and also as a cottage parent at Waddell Village, but her most important duty was that of being a homemaker and mother. She enjoyed quilting and was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church. Surviving are her daughter; Tracey Watson and a number of nieces and nephews.
