George Thomas Hawkins

George Thomas Hawkins, 90, of Green Camp, Ohio passed away on September 16, 2024. He was born on February 8, 1934, to the late Issac and Gladys Hawkins in Anstead, West Virginia. While in Anstead, he attended Anstead High School.

On December 4, 1954, George married the love of his life Ruth Rupe. They shared 59 wonderful years together.

George and Ruth decided to move to Ohio to raise a family. George worked for 31 years at Tecumseh; he owned a couple of mechanic businesses, but his pride and joy was his mechanic business he built by his home in Green Camp. George loved his family gatherings and looked forward to fishing trips with the guys and small family trips, because family is what was important to George and Ruth.

He is survived by his children; Thomas, Gary (Brenda), James (Pat), Teresa, Crista, and George (Jamie). His sister Lois (Nicholas) Fisher. 18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, also numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 6 brothers and a sister, and his son Edward (Butch).
