MARION - Gary Lee Staats, “Chicken Man”

Born 1-15-1945, son of Grace and Lloyd Staats (Mt Vernon OH).

Died suddenly on 6-29-2023, after a period of declining health.

Gary was an accomplished cook and restauranteur at General Frys for 35 years. He was a proud US Army veteran and paratrooper during the Vietnam War.

He leaves behind his devoted wife Nancy, with whom he shared great love and humor. Children Lori, Lisa, Eric and Kyle. Step-daughters Lindsay, Kristina, and Kelly. Six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Brother Bruce, and sisters Sue, Barbara and Carole.

Loved forever and greatly missed by many.
