Dorothy Pfleider, 77 of Marion, passed away peacefully on August 3rd, 2026.

Born on June 6th, 1949, to the late Naomi and Charles Paul Spicer, Dottie built a life centered on faith, family and community service. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim, as well as her parents, mother-in-law Charlene Pfleider, her sister-in-law Ruth Hornbeck, her brother-in-laws Robert (Jesslyn) Pfleider and Kenneth Pfleider and her nephew Christopher Hornbeck. She cherished being a part of the Pfleider family.

A dedicated member of the Meeker United Methodist Church, Dottie happily served her community for many years in various roles. Early in her career, she poured her energy into supporting agriculture and then her children, as the fair board secretary and then a 4-H advisor.

At home, Dottie was known for her exceptional cooking and her joy in sharing recipes with family and friends. She took immense pride in her extensive collection of cookbooks, each filled with treasured recipes and memories. An avid crafter with many hobbies, she particularly loved spending quiet hours creating beautiful cross-stitch pieces for display.

Her legacy lives on through her children, Mike and Lee Ann, and many nieces and nephews who carry forward her kind heart, love of tradition, and generous spirit.
