Doris Jean Holland

Doris Jean Holland, age 80, of Marion, passed away July 10, 2014 at Genesis Presidential Health Care Center in Marion. Doris was born in Evansville, Indiana; the daughter of Clarence Austin and Elizabeth (Knaebel) Wilsey and later step-daughter of Kenneth G. Wilsey. She is survived by her siblings; Judy Montgomery of Covington, Indiana, Kenneth "Buddy" Wilsey and Allen "Dee" Wilsey, both of New Harmony, Indiana, her children; Debra Robinson of Galena, Ohio, R.D. Holland of Madison, Alabama, Robert Richard Holland of Marion, Ohio and Blake Holland of Mason, Ohio and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; Robert D. Holland, and her sister; Joyce Upshaw. Doris formerly worked in sales for both May's Diamond Exchange and Groll's Furniture in Waldo. A private graveside memorial service and interment will take place in New Harmony, Indiana.
Her family wishes to thank the caring staff members of Marion General Hospice, Area Agency on Aging Passport Services and Genesis Presidential Healthcare Center for providing excellent care and comfort for Doris during her long illness. Her family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
