Deloris "Dee" Jackson returned home to be with the Lord while surrounded by her loved ones on November 21, 2020.
She was born on May 29th, 1944 in Huntington West Virginia to the late Carl Adkins and Olive Watson.
Deloris was a long time resident of Marion where she raised her four children. She lived strongly by her faith and was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed listening to her gospel music and spending time with her children and all of her grandchildren, even raising her granddaughter Mariah as her own.
She is survived by her brother; Bob Adkins, children; Richard Jackson, Tonya (Doug) Coomes, Jessica (Howie) Hemminger, grandchildren; Mariah Brown, Brandon Babcock, Michelle Babcock, Douglas Maynard, Debbie (Dewey) Smith, Tiffany Jackson, Amber Jackson, Nisa Becerra, Haley Hemminger, Riley Williams, and Alayah Williams, as well as her 12 great grandkids. Deloris was dearly loved by many and had a very special bond with her neighbor Melissa Taylor and her dearest friend Tiffany Edler.
Deloris is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, her son Donny Jackson, daughter Angela (Gary) Lanius, grandson Earnest Maynard III and Shontrel Mallory.
Visitation will be held on Friday November 27, 2020 at Marion First Free Will Baptist Church 1449 Crissinger Rd, Marion, OH 43302 from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM, service to start at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jerry Copley officiating. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the First Free Will Baptist Church in memory of Deloris.
MASK WILL BE REQUIRED.
