Danny Lee Ballard, age 73, of Bucyrus, Ohio, passed away, May 10, 2026, at Marion General Hospital.

He was born May 12, 1952 in Marion to the late Betty M. (Gatshall) Ballard and James R. Ballard.

Danny was a graduate of Harding High School. He was employed by Slobs and Sons and retired as a Railcar Inspector for Transco Railway in Bucyrus, Ohio on July 12, 2020.

He will be greatly missed by his Wife, Marietta (Napa) Ballard, His children Lora (Matthew) Davie of Caledonia, Ohio, Teresa Ballard of Marion, Ohio, and son Daniel Ballard of Marion Ohio. He will be missed by his 10 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, His sister Debra (Elmer) Russell, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Danny was preceded in death by his Father James R. Ballard, Mother Betty M. (Gatshall) Ballard, Brothers Rodney Ballard, Dennis Ballard, Sisters Julie Ballard, and Sheila Hoffer.

The Family will have graveside services on May 27, 2026 at the Caledonia Cemetery 11:00 am. A celebration of life will immediately follow at The American Legion Post 401 in Caledonia, Ohio.
