Charles S. Blair

October 27, 1958 — September 20, 2025

Delaware

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles “Steve” Blair, who left us peacefully on Saturday, September 20th, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on Monday, October 27th, 1958, Steve was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend, whose presence will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Steve is survived by his devoted children, son Charles (Tiffany) Blair and daughter, Stephanie (Josh) Simpson. He was the cherished grandfather to Aden Blair, Dixi Blair, Alexis Love, and Tristan Hughes, who brought immense joy and pride into his life.

He is also survived by his brothers, Roger (Barb) Hemming, Robert Hemming, John Blair, and Bryan Blair, along with his sister, Joni (Rolan) Gunnoe. His long-time companion, Pam Fanning, shared many wonderful years with Steve, and several nieces and nephews, and he is fondly remembered by many loving friends who enriched his life's journey.

He follows in passing his parents, Ozzie and Eva Blair, and his brother, Lonnie, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms.

A proud man of deep interests, Steve was an avid outdoorsman, who found solace and adventure in hunting and fishing. He was a dedicated supporter of the Cleveland Browns and the Ohio Buckeyes, cheering them on with enthusiasm. His admiration for bald eagles was reflected in his cherished collection, and his love for trucks, camo, country, and bluegrass music was well known to those around him.

Arrangements have been provided by Edwards Funeral Service Hughes-Allen Chapel.

Steve Blair touched the lives of many with his warmth, humor, and kindness. As we bid farewell, we hold onto the memories and the legacy he leaves behind.

Rest in peace, dear Steve, in the embrace of eternal love and tranquility.
