Billy Dozier

Billy Dozier, age 76, of Marion passed away unexpectedly January 1, 2015 at his home. Born in Columbus, Georgia on October 24, 1938 to Leroy and Rosa (Flewellen) Dozier, Billy was a 1957 graduate of Marion Harding High School. Billy loved sports, especially bowling, baseball and softball and was of course, a huge Buckeye fan. He had been employed by both Tecumseh Products and General Electric before retirement. He was a member of the Marion Senior Center and had been very involved with the Medgar Evers Elks Lodge prior to its closing. Preceding him in death were 2 brothers; Bob Nunley and Morris Dozier, a sister; Edith Nunley and 1 great-grandchild. Survivors include his 2 daughters; Barbara (Theodore) Allen of Dalton, Lisa Shanklin of Canton, 6 grandchildren; Roderick, Tatiana, Britnee, Trezhar, Stephen and Brittany, 13 great-grandchildren, a brother; Benny Dozier, his 2 best friends; Perry Rogers and R. C. Pickens, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
