Arthur Henry Harbolt

August 6, 1957 — May 11, 2025

Marion

Arthur Henry Harbolt, 67, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025. Born on August 6, 1957, Art dedicated his life to his family, his profession, and the great outdoors.

Art graduated from Marion Harding High School in 1977 and started his family soon after graduation. A skilled HVAC technician of more than 40 years, Art was known for his unwavering work ethic and his hands-on approach and attention to detail earned him the respect of colleagues and clients alike.

Art shared 46 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Patricia (Peterson) Harbolt. Together, they built a life rooted in love, laughter, and shared values. Art was a devoted father to their three children: Jo, Sarah, and Arthur. His family was the center of his world, and he took immense pride in their accomplishments and happiness.

Beyond his profession, Art was an avid outdoorsman. He found solace in fishing and hunting, often sharing these passions with friends and family. His gunsmithing hobby was a testament to his talent for manual craftsmanship. Art also cherished a good game of euchre, in which he played with guts and no apologies—always pushing the limits just enough to drive everyone a little crazy.

Art is survived by his children: Jo (Harbolt) and Danny Dorstewitz, Arthur and Stephanie Harbolt, and Sarah (Harbolt) and Travis Sill and his cherished grandchildren: Max and Louis Dorstewitz; Parker, Preston, Andrew, and Sam Harbolt; and Ethan and Everett Sill. His sisters and brother in laws: Janice (Harbolt) Ulrich, Judy (Harbolt) and Clarence Houk, and Linda (Harbolt) and Del Milligan; sister in law Catherine (Peterson) and Ron Carr and several nieces and nephews.

Art was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret (Patton) Harbolt; his father, Arthur Harbolt; father-in-law, Larry Peterson, and mother-in-law, Mary (Alderman) Peterson and his beloved wife, Patricia (Peterson) Harbolt.
