Rodlin D Reece

December 28, 1949 ~ December 7, 2018 (age 68)


Rodlin D. Reece, age 68, departed this journey of life on Friday December 7, 2018, at Marion General Hospital. He was born in Marion on December 28, 1949 to the late Charles Henry Reece ll and Evelena (Sims) Reece. Rodlin was a graduate from the Job Corp as a Pastry Chef and he entered into the US Air Force in 1969 to serve in the Vietnam War. He retired as a construction worker. Rodlin was a lover of golf and fishing as well as a collector of classic cars. Not to mention the variety of hats. He was preceded in death by four brothers Robert Sims, Charles H. Reece lll, George F. Reece and William P. Reece, and two sisters, Yvonda A. Reece and Charlene R. Reece. Rodlin leaves to mourn a wife of 47 yrs. Linda L. T. (Saunders) Reece and three sons, P. Moshe D. (Erika) Reece of Delaware OH, Joshua A. Reece and Caleb D. Reece both of Marion. Three grandsons, Conner, Bryce and Jaevier, two granddaughters, Kaiden and Camyah. Also surviving are two sisters Leila A. Omene of Columbus OH, Kathleen Y. Hairston of Marion; seven brothers, Tommy T. (Cyndi) Reece, Alexander (Shirlene) Reece, Leslie A. Reece, Willie Jones, Lucius Jones, Luther Jones, all of Marion and Calvin G. (Sheila) Reece of Atlanta Ga; and a host of nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his good friend Plez Booker. There will be a public viewing from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday December 12, 2018 and the Memorial Service will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. by Elder Willie McGary officiating. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. until the time of Memorial Service at Edwards Funeral Service, Hughes-Allen Chapel.
